Working with teenagers since 1997 in a church setting, I have grown to have a passion to help teens in a greater capacity but just didn't know how to go about it. I attended a Women of Faith Conference and a young lady shared her testimony on how God had delivered her through the ministry of House of Hope. My heart was touched and God confirmed in my spirit that I was to open Faith Teen Center, a non-profit, non-denominational home for teens with life controlling issues. All of us have been touched by someone we know who has a teenager dealing with issues.
Faith Teen Center will be a safe haven where these issues and hurts will be dealt with by the love of God and caring staff. Our goal is to heal the entire family through counseling sessions with the parent or guardian.
A Board of Directors has been established and our goal is to be fully operational in the fall of 2007 offering residential care for teenager's ages thirteen to eighteen. Faith Teen Center is affiliated with National House of Hope (NHOH has a 95% success rate).
In the mean time, we are asking for people who have a heart for teens to help us with our finances, volunteering their services and lifting this ministry up in prayer. all donations given now will go towards building a home for Faith Teen Center and helping meet present and future operational costs.
From my heart,
Michelle Chapman
